Boys & Girls Chicago Showcase

The Chicago Showcase got underway today, with Wisconsin teams off to a mixed start. The Girls Team Wisconsin held Team Illinois to 5 shots in a 5-1 victory. The Girls were lead by Brianna Decker who recorded a hat trick.

The Team Central District Girls lost their first game by a score of 4-1 to Team Rocky Mountain.

The Boys Team Wisconsin White blasted Team Kentucky-Team West Virginia 13 to 1. Randy Willis stopped 19 of 20 shots while Anthony Knuth had four goals and Brody Zebro and Kyle Heck each had two goals.

The Boys Team Wisconsin Red played the final game of the day against Team Minnesota, with the puck supposed to have dropped at 7 PM. As I re-write this post at 11:47 PM, their score still has not yet been posted. I'll have to update it tomorrow if it is not posted soon.

Edit: Still no update as of 5 AM Thursday...I guess they were too tired last night to put the score online...which doesn't make me very happy since I stayed up in part to get it posted...

Edit #2: Team Minnesota defeated Team Wisconsin Red 5-3. Ryan Smet, Alex Gerke and Zach Kohn had goals in the loss.
