Turkey Day in the USHL

Cedar Rapids snuck past Waterloo 2-1 in overtime. Brett Olson, who recently came off the 45 day Injured Reserve List, had an assist and Blake Kessel a goal for Waterloo, with both finishing even. Teammates Keegan Meuer, Craig Smith and Scott Pavelski also finished even. Brock Montpetit did not play in the game for Waterloo. In the shootout, Pavelski, Smith and Olson all failed to convert. Goaltender Michael Johnson had joined Cedar Rapids recently, but was apparently sent back to St. Louis of the NAHL after two games.

Sioux City handled Des Moines 4-1.
