I'm Thankful for...Fighting in the USHL

Wednesday Scores

It looks like the Chicago Steel and Green Bay Gamblers got the holiday season started right with a bunch of fights, including one between the goaltenders. Chicago rolled 8-3 in the game. Future Badger goaltender and current Gambler Aaron Crandall got tossed for fighting in the contest, as did Wisconsinite Aaron Schmit, a defenseman for Chicago. Ryan Little, a Green Bay Gambler defenseman finished -2. EDIT: HERE'S THE FIGHT VIDEO

Wisconsinite and Omaha Lancer forward Matt Thurber got the cheer flowing in Sioux Falls as he served five for fighting in the first period. Sioux Falls eventually prevailed 6-4. Jake Hauswirth had a goal for Omaha and finished even while teammate Thurber had an assist and was -1. For Sioux Falls, Jake Drewiske had an assist and finished +1, Sam Zabkowicz had an assist and finished even, while Eric Springer failed to dent the scoresheet.

Bonus Clip....This video is Jake Drewiske fighting the Gambler's Bobby Shea this past weekend.

Lincoln blanked Tri-City 6-0. For Tri-City, Wisconsinite Kyle Ensign was -1 as was future Badger Chris Hickey. For Lincoln, Travis Erstad had a goal and an assist and finished +1 while Ross Henry was held off the scoresheet. Incredibly, there were no fights to report on........
