Saturday USHL Recap

Indiana edged Chicago 4-3. Brent Gwidt was held off the scoresheet and finished -1 for Indiana. Aaron Schmit took 14 minutes of penalties all for butt-ending (a double minor and a misconduct).

Ohio played Omaha much tighter Saturday, but Omaha still prevailed 3-2. Jake Hauswirth had a goal for Omaha while teammate Matt Thurber had an assist. Both finished the game +1. For Ohio, Justin Cseter had an assist and finished even.

Sioux City put up a touchdown on Green Bay en route to a 7-4 victory. Ryan Little finished -1 for Green Bay.

Speaking of touchdowns, Cedar Rapids put one up on Des Moines in a 7-1 spanking.

Lincoln scraped past Sioux Falls 2-1. Jacob Drewiske had an assist and finished even for Sioux Falls, while teammates Eric Springer finished +1 and Sam Zabkowicz finished -1. Ross Henry and Travis Erstad were held off the scoresheet for Lincoln and finished even.

Tri-City needed overtime to squeak by Waterloo 4-3. Uw recruit Chris Hickey had a goal and finished +1 for Tri-City, while teammate Kyle Ensign was not active for the game. For Waterloo, Blake Kessel and Brock Montpetit had goals, while Montpetit also had an assist. For Waterloo, Keegan Meuer finished +1, Craig Smith was even, Brock Montpetit was -1 and Blake Kessel was -2.
