USHL Friday Night

It was a pretty good night in the USHL for Wisconsin players & UW recruits putting points on the scoresheet.

Indiana put up a touchdown against Cedar Rapids and claimed the victory 7-5. Brent Gwidt had a goal and an assist for Indiana, and finished +2. He also had 12 penalty minutes. He had a minor for hooking and a 10-minute misconduct for abuse of officials.

Omaha handled Ohio 6-2. Matt Thurber had an assist and finished +1 for Omaha, while teammate and potential UW recruit Patrick Wiercioch finished even. Jake Hauswirth did not play for Omaha. Justin Cseter finished -1 for Columbus.

Sioux Falls doubled up Green Bay 4-2. Ryan Little had a goal and was even for Green Bay. Eric Springer had a goal and was +2 for Sioux Falls, while teammates Sam Zabkowicz and Jake Drewiske were +1 and 0 respectively.

Tri-City took care of Lincoln 6-3. UW recruit Chris Hickey had two goals in the game and finished even for Tri-City. Kyle Ensign did not play in the game for Tri-City. For Lincoln, Travis Erstad notched a goal and finished -1. Teammate Ross Henry was -2.

Chicago hung a loss on Waterloo 6-4. Aaron Schmit finished even for Chicago. For Waterloo, both Keegan Meuer and Brock Montpetit had goals. Montpetit finished +1, while Blake Kessel was -1 and Keegan Meuer, Craig Smith and Scott Pavelski were all -2.

Des Moines edged Sioux City 2-1.
