Saturday in the USHL-Featuring Matt Thurber

The Omaha Lancers dispatched the Lincoln Stars 6-2 in USHL Exhibition Season action last night. Beaver Dam native and UW recruit Matt Thurber notched a goal on the power play and a goal short handed, as well as two even strength assists. He finished the night an impressive +3 as well. 2007 Wisconsin High School Player of the Year Travis Erstad was held off the score sheet for Lincoln, and finished the game -1.

Des Moines defeated Waterloo 4-1. Brett Olson had a goal in the game for the Blackhawks.
