Opening Games Completed at IIHF U-18 World Championship

Team USA dropped their opener at the IIHF U-18 World Championship against Russia by a score of 5-3. UW recruit Ryan McDonagh had a power play assist in the game. Potential UW recruit Vinny Saponari also had an assist in the game. Team USA is back in action against Germany tomorrow morning.

Team Canada was victorious over Germany in their first round game, but UW recruit Kyle Turris was held off the scoresheet.
