Friday in the USHL

Tri-City edged Des Moines in an overtime shootout 3-2. Luke Lucyk had a goal for Tri-City.

Sioux City downed Green Bay 4-1, despite Derrick LaPoint putting the Gamblers on the scoreboard first.

Sioux Falls earned the win over Omaha last night by a score of 4-3. David Solway has been hot of late for Sioux Falls and kept up the pace with a goal and assist in this one. Sam Zabkowicz also had an assist for Sioux Falls, while Matt Thurber assisted on the final two Omaha goals. UW recruit Scott Gudmandson stopped 32 of 36 in the losing effort.

Waterloo blew past Indiana 5-2. Potential UW recruit Jan Mikael Juutilainen scored a goal, which was assisted by Wisconsinite and UW recruit Josh Turnbull.

Cedar Rapids outshot Ohio 60 to 14, and only won by a score of 7 to 4.

Lincoln used two third period goals to secure a victory over Chicago. It's not clear yet whether Pat Johnson's addition to Lincoln beginning last weekend is permanent or temporary, but he scored again for the Stars.
