Turris Averages 3.5 Points Per Game Over the Weekend

Kyle Turris had a goal and an assist Saturday and was named the First Star of the Game in leading Burnaby to a 5-2 victory against Alberni Valley.

Sunday night he and his teammates outscored Michigan recruit Ben Winnett and the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in a 7-5 win. Turris was named Second Star of the Game with two goals and three Assists.

Turris' big weekend has catapulted him into a tie for sixth overall in scoring in the BCHL with 21 goals and 14 assists for 35 points in just 16 games. Most other players have played 18 to 20 games as Turris was suspended for a couple of games for fighting earlier in the year.
