Friday Night Badger Report

*The final score of the UW Men's game was BC 3, Wisconsin 0 including an empty netter for BC at the end.

*The Badger Men were disappointing last night, having no offensive spark, and giving up a goal while on a five on three power play. The players didn't look too sure of how to run a 5-3 power play, and it ended in disaster as a result.

*Was it my imagination, or did the second goal never go into the net? Even on the replays I could not see that it ever crossed the line....

*Has Ben Grotting spent more time on the ice, or in the penalty box? Why does someone who plays that little ALWAYS take a penalty?

*Blake Geoffrion last night looked like he was taking on the Nick Licari role of annoying the hell out of the other team. Every team's gotta have a guy like that, and it's nice to see someone stepping forward to do it. Hopefully it does not deter Blake from further offensive development, because he is one of the Freshmen that should have the ability to score goals.

*The Badgers won the faceoff battle last night, but just didn't do anything with the puck once they had it. Ben Street did particularly well on faceoffs, but ended the night -3.

*The Badger Women defeated North Dakota 8-1.

*Jinelle Zaugg had a goal and two assists, while Sara Bauer had a goal and four assists.

*Ashley Paulsen from Onalaska and Samantha Turner from Hudson are both Freshmen at North Dakota, and were both in the lineup for the Sioux Friday night. Paulsen finished -3 and Turner -2.
