Saturday USHL Happenings

Potential UW recruit Brett Bruneteau had a goal and an assist to lead Omaha past Green Bay 4-3. Derrick LaPoint had two goals and Justin Cseter had two assists in the losing effort. Scott Gudmandson did not play in this game, after not playing Friday night either.

Cedar Rapids outgunned Des Moines 8-3.

Waterloo squeaked past Chicago 2-1 behind a goal by Josh Turnbull. Keegan Meuer did play in this game for Waterloo....it looks like he is active for every other game at this point in the season.

Sioux City took out Indiana 3-2.

Lincoln downed Tri-City 6-4. Potential UW recruit Jason Gregoire had a goal and two assists for Lincoln, while Luke Lucyk had an assist for Tri-City.

Derrick LaPoint leads all defensemen and is eighth overall in scoring with 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points in 7 games. Josh Turnbull is ninth overall in scoring in the USHL with 6 goals and 4 assists for 10 points in seven games. He is also +7 on the season. Potential UW recruit Jason Gregoire is tied for 15th in scoring with 2 goals and 6 assists for 8 points in just 4 games, and is +7 on the season.
