Wisconsin Boys Players at the Prospects Tournament

A few of the boys from the Wisconsin High School and Midget scene have made their way to Toronto for the Toronto Prospects Tournament. This tournament is heavily scouted by Junior teams in both the US & Canada, NCAA teams as well as the NHL.

Only one group of Wisconsin boys has formed an entire team, while a few others joined teams or were placed with teams. The team name is the Madison Capitols, and they are competing in the 1987-1990 birthdate tournament. Rosters were due about a month ago and I noticed that one of the players on their roster is still in the midst of the USHL playoffs. Ian Slater plays for the Cedar Rapids and they are locked in a semi-final series with Des Moines. Here's the list of players including guys from the USHL, Midgets and High School teams:

Slater is from Florida but played at Culver and with the Capitols I believe. Matt Thurber is from Beaver Dam, while Ryan Little is from Fond du Lac, and his teammate from the Green Bay Gamblers, Mike Sislo, is from Superior.

Much like Phil Kessel, Blake Kessel is spending his summers playing hockey with guys from Minnesota. Blake is on a team made up of Minnesota players at the Prospects Tournament.
