Badger Recaps

Friday night the Badger Men fell to Michigan Tech 4-2. The Badgers inexperience cost them, as well as their penalty-killing, giving up two shorthanded goals and another just as Kyle Turris stepped out of the penalty box.

Saturday the Badger Men reversed the score with a 4-2 victory. Michael Davies and Podge Turnbull were not active for the game as Mike Eaves elected for more grit instead playing Andy Bohmbach and Zach Bearson.

Kyle Turris was named the Rookie of the Month by the Hockey Commissioner's Association.

The Badger Women blanked Minnesota 3-0 on Friday but did not play very well. On Saturday, the Gophers managed to squeak out a win 3-2. Four current Badgers left for Europe following the game to represent the U.S. Meghan Duggan, Erika Lawler, Jessie Vetter and Jinelle Zaugg headed to Leksand, Sweden to compete in the Four Nations Cup being played Nov. 7-11.
