Boys High School Hockey Team Previews-#4-#6

The teams that finished between fourth and sixth in the rankings last season all had big losses to graduation last season.


#6-Homestead-Nearly 77% of their goal scoring from last season graduated, lead by All-State forward Tedd Falk who recorded 32 goals and 35 assists for 67 points, and Honorable Mention All-State forward Spencer King who notched 27 goals and 33 assists for 60 points. Defensively their losses include Honorable Mention All-State defenseman Sam Wright and Honorable Mention All-State goaltender John Schroeder. All told 9 players graduated including five forwards, 2 defensemen and 2 goaltenders.

Losing 9 Seniors - 89 Goals (76.7% of offense)

#5-Stevens Point-They are the winners of the "Most Scoring Lost" award this season. A whopping 83% of their offense goal production graduated last season. If that's not bad enough, All-State senior defenseman Tyler Krueger, their best remaining player decided to play for the Madison Capitols this season and their coach left to take the reins at UW-Stevens Point. A total of 10 players graduated including 8 forwards, one defenseman and a goaltender. The biggest losses up front include Player of the Year and future Wisconsin Badger Travis Erstad, who was (as you might imagine) also on the All-State Team. Also lost was All-State forward Scott Pavelski and Honorable Mention All-State Alex Molski.

#4-Tomah-They have key losses at forward, defense and goaltender. Eight total seniors graduated including Honorable Mention All-State forward Darth Denter, All-State defenseman Alex Gerke and All-State goaltender Nick Nicewanger. In all, 45% of their offense graduated.
