Alumni Linkorama: Adam Burish

(Photo by Neil Ament) Adam Burish has made the Blackhawks opening day roster. At the beginning of camp, I don’t think many Blackhawks fans expected him to make the cut. But he had a heck of a camp, and during the camp I collected a number of links. Some of the links have more about Burish than others, but all are good!

Live from Columbus Sept 17 --
Head coach Denis Savard singled out Toews, Adam Burish, Jacob Dowell and Patrick Lalime as having good performances Tuesday.

Adam Burish who I always have liked was impressive also. He reminds me of a Sutter brother, he plays with that grit and determination. The way he accepted a pass at the Blue Line and spun to go in on a breakaway was pretty to see. What also was very impressive is that he got a good goalie to commit first and did bury the shot. Who knows maybe his goal scoring productivity will better resemble Brian Sutter. Unless Tallon makes a trade or 2 soon, Burish will have a tough time being here on opening night, unless there are injuries.

Slap Shots 9/23 --
For the second consecutive year, testing showed that Adam Burish is the most fit Hawk. He remains on the bubble for making the team, however.
''He's a champion. He'll do anything to be here,'' Savard said. ''It'd be tough for us to release him back to Rockford. He's just a winner. He won't score 20 goals, but we'll win the Stanley Cup if he does.''

Roster Decisions 9/30
--
Adam Burish, whom Savard called "our most consistent forward the whole training camp," will be on Thursday's opening night roster for the game against the Wild in Minnesota.

Chicago Tribune 9/30 --
"He deserves to be here," Savard said of Burish. "He's played well, he's a character guy and he came to play every night. He was our most consistent forward the whole training camp."
