Kyle Turris Named Canadian Junior A Player of the Year

UW recruit Kyle Turris has been named the RBC Financial Group Canadian Junior A Player of the Year. Turris had 66 goals on the season, 15 more than the runners-up in the BCHL scoring race. He finished second in the BCHL in points. He also finished tied for the league lead in playoff scoring with 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points. The playoff scoring feat is incredible considering he played one less series than every other player in the top ten of playoff scorers. Turris was also named Coastal Conference MVP in the BCHL.
