WIAA Winter Team Tournament Sportsmanship Awards

Congrats to the Wisconsin Rapids boys hockey team and their fans and the Fond du Lac/Waupun girls hockey team and their fans for receiving the Sportsmanship Awards at this year's State Tournament. The Eau Claire North boys hockey team and their fans received honorable mention. Apparently no Sportsmanship Awards were awarded last year for boys or girls hockey, but Antigo and Fond du Lac recieved Honorable Mention in boys hockey.

The selection process is very thorough, and includes contributions and evaluations from contest officials, tournament management, police and security personnel, crowd control and ushers, WIAA staff members, area hotels and restaurants.
