Eaves Leaving Wisconsin for NHL's Flyers

Sources close to UW Mens hockey coach Mike Eaves are reporting that he is close to coming to terms with the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers are currently in last place in the NHL by 10 points.

It's always been a dream of Eaves to coach in the NHL so this should be no surprise to anyone. He was an assistant coach for the Flyers for 3 seasons. 88-89, 89-90, and then again in 93-94. From 97-2000 he was an NHL assistant with Pittsburgh. As most of you Badger fans know he is most famous for his National Championship with Wisconsin last season, and when he brought the Gold back as head coach of the USA WJC U-20 team.

Make sure you check out this ESPN link that talks about him taking over for interim coach John Stevens at seasons end.

No really...make sure you check the link...and the date.
