Baby Steps Towards an On-Campus Practice Rink for UW

Today's Wisconsin State Journal indicates UW is currently making a decision on which consultant to hire to help it draw up a plan for future facilities. Here's the meat of the article....

UW Athletics will soon decide on an outside consultant to help it draw up a plan for future facilities.
UW officials have budgeted $225,000 for the process, which will get underway next month, when a consultant is identified.
An on-campus practice facility for men's hockey, a swimming facility and an indoor track and field facility are among the priority projects.
"We want a consultant basically to tell us everything from what land we might be able to use - that will somewhat be dictated by the campus master plan - to what deficiencies we have right now with our facilities in all our sports," Chadima said. "To provide us with some ideas and some renderings that will show us facilities we may be able to build."
